This non-supervisory position is located in Curtis Bay, MD. Work is performed on a part-time basis in a typical office setting.

Position Summary: The proposal and social media intern assists in the daily operation of the Business Development Division, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Team in all aspects of Research & Capture activities, Marketing & Sales to include Request for Information/Sources Sought development, marketing material and content marketing development, and opportunity tracking and report generation.

Education & Experience: No experience required. Working towards a degree (BA/BS); degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or English is preferred.

Essential Duties: 

  • Contribute to Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought responses by assisting the Proposal Manager and Proposal Coordinator with writing, formatting, editing, and submitting compliant and timely documentation.
  • Assist in the creation of RFI/SS templates, outlines, requirements analyses, compliance matrices, and production checklists.
  • Edit and format documents; create graphics using MS PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
  • Perform detailed writing and editing, formatting, and layout of marketing documents for both print and web sources.
  • Monitor external procurement sites to identify and track opportunities (RFIs/SS, RFPs/RFQs, etc.).
  • Assist with the archiving of previous proposal sections to include (but not limited to) past performance write-ups, management approaches, resumes, and graphics.
  • Help maintain and broaden social media footprint. Plan social media posts on both a weekly and monthly basis. Pull social media statistics monthly to track strength of social channels.
  • Assist with data call responses by researching and using knowledge of past and present company involvement.
  • Perform market research using a variety of tools such as FPDS, Salesforce, GovWin, APFS, FedBizOpps, GSA e-Buy, Seaport-e, , etc.
  • Research, identify, and track opportunities within target markets (upcoming re-competes, new business, client needs).
  • Update Salesforce opportunities monthly to ensure current information is available and conveyed in reports distributed to company leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently as well as function as an effective member of a team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proficient with Adobe Spark, HootSuite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Lightroom, and Google tools desired, but not required.
